About Coptic Orthodox Publishers

Preserving a legacy of service to the Church

Coptic Orthodox Publishers was created with a simple purpose: to preserve, translate and share the spiritual treasures of the Coptic Orthodox Church with English-speaking readers.

For generations, the Coptic Church has produced a rich heritage of spiritual writings, the lives of the saints, prayers, hymns and resources for teaching the faith.

Yet much of this material remains available only in Arabic or in older publications that can be difficult to find.

We hope to help make these treasures more accessible to a new generation.

Continuing a Family Legacy

This project is also a continuation of a family legacy.

My parents devoted many years to serving the children of the Church through their work with Sunday School.

Their service included translating church lectionaries, writing plays and producing monthly magazines and resources for children of different ages.

Their work was motivated by a desire to serve the Church and help children learn, love and live their Orthodox faith.

With Coptic Orthodox Publishers, I hope to preserve their work and eventually make more of these materials available, while also continuing the work of translation and publication that they began.

What began as a service to the children of one generation can, God willing, become a resource for generations to come.

Our Work

Our growing collection includes English translations and publications relating to:

• The writings and teachings of the Coptic Orthodox Fathers

• The spiritual writings of Pope Shenouda III

• The lives of the saints

• Orthodox prayers and spiritual resources

• Hymns and church material

• Resources for children and families

• Older Sunday School publications and materials

Some resources will be made available freely, while others will be offered as ebooks or printed books for purchase.

Our aim is not simply to publish books, but to preserve material that might otherwise become difficult to find and make it accessible to English-speaking Christians around the world.

Everything we do is undertaken with the hope that these resources will be useful to the Church and a blessing to those who read them.
